We started out to design a solution to the unique needs of providers without the typical problems of Health IT. Before we wrote a line of code, we looked at existing health care IT solutions. Our competition is expensive, often costing many hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars, require many months, and sometimes years to implement. They require expensive hardware and maintenance. They are difficult to use and require weeks of training; and in the end, they do not change the level of care. They are simply more cumbersome electronic versions of the same paper based systems they are meant to replace.
